Get this all-star, easy-to-create recipe for Peppered Butter. A great accompaniment on top of grilled steak.
Who has time to learn to cook she said. When I am done with school then you can teach me. Well, that was several months ago that she graduated from college. She prefers having someone else do the cooking for her. She wants to be served. Did I spoil her a wee bit over the years? Perhaps someday, she can use all the recipes on my blog to learn to cook on her own. Some are so easy that I can’t really call them recipes. Like this peppered butter. It’s more of an idea really. It’s also more of an impressive presentation than anything else. But really, if you want to impress your guests you gotta make this butter. If you want to get real fancy, you can use itty bitty cookie cutters and make some incredible shapes out of your block of peppered butter. Now why didn’t think of that before we finished up all that peppered butter. Ah, it’s my life. A day late and a dollar short on my ideas.
It’s all good though, just like this butter is topped on my grilled steak. Don’t stop at peppered butter, there are more butter flavorings than I care to list here for all of you. Use your noggin and create some fancy butter.

- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- Mix butter, 1 teaspoon pepper, and ½ teaspoon kosher salt in a small bowl.
- Place on wax paper and mold into a rectangle, refrigerate until it hardens.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
